On behalf of the Cherry Valley Festival Days
committee, I want to personally thank everyone
who came out to enjoy this year's festival.
There
were two new sucessful events, the Scottish
Highland Games and the Pedal Pull for kids,
as well as old favorites like the Muddy Money
Mud Pit, Home D epot Workshop and the Cherry
Pie Eating Contest.
Also, this year the festival had a whole new
look as we moved to the baseball diamond and
the surrounding streets.
I would also like to thank all those who helped
to make the 2007 Cherry Valley Festival Days
a success.
There are so many people and groups that contributed
and this year there were plenty that stepped
up to help during our flood related challenges.
Thanks to all the dedicated, hard working
volunteers, electricians, public works employees,
CherryVale Mall and other local businesses.
Thanks to the Cherry Valley Village Board,
Police Dept., Fire Dept. and Village Hall
employees.
The assistance and kindness of individuals
and groups like these are not only what make
our festival so good, but what makes our community
such a great place to live in.
